'The Man Who Dressed Hollywood'
|
We were once again very pleased to be asked to participate in the department store, John Lewis on Oxford Street's very own V.I.P (very important pedestrian) Day. The day saw Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street open to pedestrian's only. To say the store, one of the largest stockists of quality greetings cards in the capital was busy would be the understatement of the year! Our designer, Beth Genower and colleagues Hayley and Laura were on hand to demonstrate the dexterity and nimble-fingered-ness required to make some of our handmade cards from scratch. On top of that, some very special bespoke and personalised Christmas cards were made for lots of John Lewis customers to give to their very own VIP's for Christmas.

On Thursday December 11th 2008, BBC1's 'THE ONE SHOW' ran a feature on the history of Christmas cards. Five Dollar Shake were lucky enough to be asked to appear in the show. Former cricketer and 'I'm a Celebrity...' winner Phil Tufnell brought a camera crew down to the Five Dollar offices for a day of filming.
